The 2023 Michigan Wolverines won their first national championship since 1997 led by star quarterback JJ McCarthy. The Wolverines were dominant all season long and put the finishing touches on a perfect 15-0 season with a dominant victory over the Huskies. Growing up a Michigan fan, this painting was already a must for me but the whole story is pretty amazing! Watching Michigan lose the year before was crushing but seeing JJ and the team come back even more determined is rare joy that most fans don't get to experience. The team overcame so many obstacles in that 2023 season but they met every single one with a championship level discipline that only helped define their story. The Rose Bowl overtime victory over Alabama, beautifully depicted as the centerpiece image for this painting. I hope Michigan fans treasure this collectible, it was an absolute joy getting to relive it through this painting.
